Job Description

Shop Hand Green Bolt 39 Central Ave, Berwyn, PA 19312 About Green Bolt Green Bolt is a custom apparel manufacturer and promotional products distributor. We customize products using full-color digital printing (direct-to-film and sublimation), machine embroidery, and laser engraving methods to create quality branded products for our clients. We operate with sustainability in mind by consciously sourcing better products and materials, producing on-demand and influencing the industry. Green Bolt is a new, small business founded by Leah Grubb, previously the Director of Marketing for a sustainable e-commerce product startup that was on Shark Tank. Leah launched Green Bolt with two established, local business owners backing her idea and vision for an on-demand printing company that caters to small businesses like theirs. We now help small businesses, mostly in the auto repair industry, across the country by letting them focus on what they do best. And while we specialize in supporting the auto repair industry, whatever our clients do, at the end of the day, they’re not the branded apparel experts-we are! And when they can focus on what they do best, they thrive, their people thrive, and their community is all the better for it. About the Role This is a part-time, entry-level position with training provided and room for growth. The Shop Hand will assist with day-to-day operations, including shipping and receiving, quality checks, and basic production tasks. This is a hands-on position best suited for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a creative environment. Responsibilities This role’s responsibilities are flexible, with room for growth into business operations, design, and marketing, if desired. As a small, new team, not only does your voice matter in the business, but we work with you to craft a role that truly interests you.

Shipping & Receiving:

Receive incoming inventory, verify order accuracy, and log any discrepancies.

Quality Control:

Inspect items for damage or defects and ensure they meet quality standards.

Order Organization:

Sort and assign items to their appropriate order bins.

Transfer Prep:

Cut printed transfers and help organize them for pressing.

Production Assistance:

Support skilled staff in pressing apparel and other basic production tasks.

Cleaning & Maintenance:

Keep the shop tidy and workspaces clean and organized.

Inventory Support:

Help track supply levels and organize storage areas. Other Duties as assigned (and discovered!) Production Support during peak seasons may be needed. At minimum you may operate a manual single or air-assisted dual station heat press to load, align, press, then inspect, iron, fold and pack printed products. Our industry is consistently growing and changing. New methods may be discovered, machines invented, etc. As a new, small business, growth is guaranteed and change is inevitable, are you ready for that? Skills & Qualifications Previous experience is not required, but you may be best suited for this role if you… Describe yourself as a crafty or entrepreneurial person. Maybe you crochet, have built your own computer, or had/have your own Etsy store or TikTok shop. Have strong attention to detail. You can tell when a poster is askew from across the room or when a paint patch job is just a shade off or when a number just isn’t right; and these things bug the heck out of you! Are technologically proficient. Not only could you teach your parents and grandparents computer/phone skills, but you’ve taught your peers a thing or two as well. Learning new software is a welcomed challenge. Love working with your hands. Do you actually enjoy assembling IKEA, or love to put together a new Lego set? Are a problem solver that knows their way around a Google search. If you have a question, and your first reaction is to Google it, watch a video on it, read a few forums, let’s talk.
