Job Description
Plant Production Clerk/Receptionist 3.2 3.2 out of 5 stars 421 Grant Street, Chambersburg, PA 17201 Ensures efficient production and current inventory by compiling reports, scheduling, documenting and filing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
includes the following: (Performs other assignments or duties as required.) Updates inventory information by preparing production batches, closing batches at the end of the month, and filing batches for audit. Determines profit margin by compiling operations reports . Ensure correct payments by recording apple peeler meter readings. Ensures efficiencies of resources by compiling water, oil and gas efficiency reports. Monitors employee effectiveness by researching, recording and analyzing three crew reports of percentages. (Where applicable) Prepares department for production by scheduling production times, ordering ingredients, and pulling batches for the next day. Assists management with decision making by creating objective and efficiency reports, meeting minutes, labeling reports, and downtime reports. Ensures employee safety by updating MSDS inventory of chemical information and awareness. Pays supervisors by tracking the supervisor time record. Records actions by completing back up procedures and filing accounting documents. Contributes to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Contributes to the Company effort by continually looking for ways to improve productivity and customer orientation within department by use of better technology, procedures, and use of resources. Maintains professional and technical knowledge/skills by using the performance appraisal system to access person strengths and development needs to accomplish the strategic goals of the organization.

Essential knowledge, skills, abilities, and experiences: Requires knowledge that is acquired through a high school diploma or its equivalent in experience. Two years relative business experience. Knowledge of office procedures, methods and computers including spreadsheet applications. Ability to write reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate in English and understand information one-on-one and in small groups. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals. Ability to work under pressure of constant deadlines. Ability to maintain confidential information.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The work is mostly sedentary with a combination of office and plant exposure. Must be able to stand, walk and climb.
SUMMARY:
– Receptionist Duties Serves to create an initial positive impression to visitors and callers by providing answers/assistance and projecting a consumer-friendly atmosphere. Supports human resources processes by providing employee, customer, and public services, greeting visitors, and transferring incoming phone calls to the correct recipients.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
includes the following (Performs other assignments or duties as required.) 1. Ensures effective communication by answering and redirecting telephone calls to appropriate recipients. 2. Provides office and plant security by verifying badges for those entering plant or office. 3. Assists in maintaining telephone system by reporting problems and changes to telephone service provider. 4. Provides assistance for all incoming and outgoing business related shipments for any employee. 5. Provides employee services by providing obituaries to payroll department, decorating the display table, selling Hershey park tickets, Dutch wonderland tickets.
