Production Operator 3.1 3.1 out of 5 stars 5047 Zane A Miller Drive, Waynesboro, PA 17268 SUMMARY Through the uses equipment and other sources, assists with manufacturing, packaging, and other steps in the production process. While the exact duties may vary from department to department, a production operator will lift and maneuver product, packages and equipment of varying weights and dimensions. An operator will run and maintain all equipment used in the production process, including forklifts, computers and scan guns. Fil-Tec is seeking a production team member to work in a process production environment operating and maintaining multiple machines at one time. This is a 3rd Shift Position working from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM, Monday – Friday. Training will be conducted on 1st shift for approximately 6 – 8 weeks before being assigned to 3rd shift.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Include, but not limited to, the following: Check knit floor schedule. Communicate with off going shift as to special instructions or pertinent information. Bring raw glass to the knit floor if required. Use a digital caliper to measure product. Use a digital scale to ensure product is run to specification. Use a steel tape to measure material. Use basic math functions to test material. Make appropriate product labels. Verify in-coming material if needed. Produce, inspect, and label products. Box product and seal cartons. Label cartons and/or barrels. Transfer to appropriate pallets to go to warehouse. Perform quality checks as per work instructions. Make appropriate machine adjustments as needed to ensure material runs to specification. Make machine adjustments to set up new product as needed. Clean machines and area. Perform preventative maintenance as scheduled. Make boxes. Take out trash and cardboard to appropriate locations. Fill out production report and internal waste report. Place scrap material into appropriate containers. Communicate with shift coming in at shift change. Attend meetings as scheduled. Assist others in the department as time permits. If no work is available on the knit floor, help in other departments. Perform other functions as needed.
