Production Associate Our Production Associate is responsible foroverseeing and performing a wide variety of tasks in order toproduce high-quality product that conforms to customerspecifications. The primary purpose of this job is to be in chargeof the correct quality of materials and the end products producedby the company to safely and cost-effectively achieve performancetargets. Production Associates are responsible for assisting induties related to keeping the line running smoothly.
Responsibilities:
Complete various production tasks as assigned bythe Production Operator. Clears pan jams from the line and removesand adds baking pans as needed. Troubleshoots basic causes of linestops and restarts production. Assist the production operator inline startups and changeovers. Oversee product quality and ensurethe product is being produced in compliance with customerspecifications. Maintain high rates of production as set by theOperator and Production Supervisor. Separates rework from raw doughwaste whenever possible to minimize waste. Monitor and deliver sidetrimmings to mixer; notify operator when side trimmings exceedacceptable rates. Removes all out-of-spec products from the lineand notifies the Production Supervisor of all non-conformingproducts or processes on the line. Contributes to a safe andefficient work environment. Maintains regular and predictableattendance, safely performs tasks, and adheres to all safetypolicies and procedures. Performs other related responsibilities,as needed or directed by the Production Supervisor and Manager.
Plan, problem solve, foster healthy peer relations, and motivateothers.
Food Safety Responsibilities:
Follow all GMP’s, FoodDefense, and quality policies. Ensures compliance with all GMP,food hygiene, and safety standards. Report all food safetyincidents such as GMP violations, ingredient and productcontamination, metal detectors, screen or magnet deviancies, glassbreakage, and pest harborage.
Qualifications:
High School diplomaor equivalent Work in a noisy environment for the length of theshift Able to stand for long periods Willing to acquire a widevariety of skills to assist the surrounding team and fullyunderstand the processes Able to problem solve, learn on the fly,process and technical learning, and quality decisions. Must be ableto work in a team environment as well as work independently.

The physical demands described here arerepresentative of those that must be met to successfully performthe essential functions of this job. The incumbent is subject tomanufacturing, warehouse, and distribution environments whichinclude proximity to moving parts and exposure to heat, odors, andnoise. The position requires the employee to stand, walk, sit,reach above shoulder level, climb, or balance, stoop, kneel, andcrouch. The employee must occasionally lift to 50 pounds. Theposition requires flexibility regarding start-times and the numberof hours to be worked daily (this is not a “9 to 5” job). Work caninclude weekend hours as the needs of the business dictate. 1stshift: 4am-12pm or 5am-1pm $12.00/hr Temporary to Permanent Thereis a Referral bonus of $50 for anyone currently is working thatrefers a candidate and that employee then works the full shift fora week.
