Anode Component Technician, East Providence, RI Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Anode Component Technician will be responsible for performing tasks that support production operations, including operating a semi-automatic metal pressing machine, performing bar welding, and utilizing measurement devices to meet daily quotas, ensuring the production of high-quality products.

Responsibilities:

Safely operate production machinery and equipment, such as pressing and bar welding machines, as well as anode formation equipment, in accordance with established procedures and safety protocols. Operate a pressing machine to compress powder materials into anode components, ensuring they meet the proper weight, density, and form according to production specifications. Monitor voltage, current, temperature, and time parameters during the formation process to ensure conformity to the appropriate component drawing. Prepare anodes by loading and unloading trays or fixtures, and verify the correct orientation and part placement. Inspect pellets before and anodes after formation for defects such as cracks and discoloration. Perform electrolyte preparation, monitoring, and maintenance to ensure proper concentration and cleanliness. Read and interpret technical documentation, including drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Inspect products before, during, and after production using measurement devices such as calipers, scales, and gauges to ensure they meet company quality standards. Use basic computer skills to input and track data in production systems, document testing procedures and results, and communicate effectively with team members. Meet daily production quotas to support team efficiency and output goals. Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements:

Criteria For Success High School Diploma – Required Technical degree or certification, or equivalent professional experience, preferred Must be a U.S. Person and eligible to work in the United States Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in English Possess a solid foundation in mathematics, including the ability to analyze numerical data, interpret statistical results, and apply mathematical reasoning to solve complex problems Mechanical aptitude, including the ability to set up and operate press machinery, bar welding tools, and anode formation equipment General understanding and adherence to manufacturing procedures, safety standards, and company policies Skilled in identifying and resolving basic equipment or process issues Proficient in using precision tools and test equipment, including calipers, micrometers, multimeters, indicators, megohmmeters, and impedance meters Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow technical instructions Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint) Experience with ERP systems is a plus; willing and able to learn new software tools as needed comfortable using computers for data entry, documentation, and communication Consistently meets production quotas and quality standards while ensuring safe operation Team-oriented with a collaborative, proactive, and hands-on approach Adaptable and willing to be cross-trained across multiple production tasks in a fast-paced environment Consistent and reliable attendance with a strong work ethic Committed to maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant workspace

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

General office and manufacturing environment. Exposure to hazards associated with manufacturing equipment and tools. Must have good finger and hand strength and dexterity. The ability to manipulate small objects is important. Repetitive hand movements for tasks like loading and unloading components and operating the press. May require heavy lifting. Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds. Prolonged standing on hard surfaces during a shift Walking to various stations or areas of the production floor. Sitting, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling motions. Ability to handle small tools, parts, and machinery with precision. Visual acuity for reading measurements, assembly instructions, and monitoring equipment. Hearing ability to detect alarms, machinery sounds, or verbal instructions in a noisy environment. This position requires working near electrical and mechanical equipment that could potentially interfere with pacemaker function.
