PROVIDENCE, RI
location. Responsibilities – The set-up and grinding of precision parts from simple to complex, such as tapers, using manual Kellenberger grinding machines for measuring instruments. Materials include Stainless Steel, Tool Steels, and Cold Rolled Steel. Must be able to read blueprints and inspect parts per specifications. Select correct grit grinding wheels, mount on arbor and balance. Inspect parts using advanced measurement equipment such as gage blocks; drop indicator, master micrometers, surface plate and surface finish equipment to meet (RA / RZ) requirements. Other gaging and training provided by Mahr as well. Previous Experience – 3 years plus machining experience. The ability to read and interpret prints and the use various measuring tools to assure quality. Education – High School/ Vocational Training or related experience. We want you to succeed.
