The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with various tools and equipment. As a Shop Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our production processes, ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities Assist in the assembly of products using hand tools and power tools, ensuring high-quality standards are met. Support the assembly line by preparing materials and components for production. Operate forklifts to transport materials safely within the facility. Collaborate with team members to fabricate parts and components as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Conduct routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance. Follow instructions from supervisors and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the shop. Experience Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing facility is preferred. Familiarity with assembly processes and mechanical knowledge is highly desirable. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and forklifts is an advantage. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
