Job Title:

Skilled Production Worker Job Description We are seeking skilled Production associates to perform all kinds of beveling, weld prep, layout, and cutting using gas, sector track torches, hand grinders and electric cutting / welding equipment. Responsibilities Receives instructions, prints, and work orders for the job. Plans details of working Procedure and tools and material requirements. Bevels parts by cutting and grinding various metals. Repairs parts by using welding techniques and appropriate welding equipment. Cleans and prepares surfaces to be welded. Builds up worn or defective surfaces. Layout per customer drawings. Uses burning equipment to cut material to size and shape. Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly. All other duties as assigned. Essential Skills Industrial machinery operation Blueprint reading Fabrication skills 2-3+ years of experience in heavy industrial manufacturing Ability to read a tape measure Strong mechanical aptitude Capacity to lift at least 50-80lbs Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in steel fabrication Strong problem-solving skills Understanding of blueprints and dimensions Experience with press brake, steel fabrication, roll forming, punch press, sheet metal, machining Ability to use calipers, lathe, mill, tape measure Troubleshooting skills Crane operation Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Goose Creek, South Carolina. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.50 – $26.00/hr.
