Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for producing the required poultry feed on a daily basis. This is a full-time (40 hours per week) non-exempt position.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
This position reports directly to the Control Room Supervisor. There are no supervisory responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Operation of computer controlled production software and equipment to produce quality feed. Monitor computer systems to maintain optimum production process and quality. Calculate required feed production amounts for each day based upon delivery schedules and inventory levels. Maintain inventory record of all feed produced. Daily inventory counts on all bag ingredients and liquids. Run daily WEM reports. Responsible for filling micro-ingredient, and maintaining necessary stock at the batching areas. Operate forklift as required. Performs housekeeping duties as requested by the supervisor; is responsible for keeping designated area clean while supporting co-workers in other areas. Follows standard operating instructions/procedures in the performance of all operator areas. Other duties as assigned by supervisor
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma or equivalent Excellent computer skills Strong math skills and handwriting. Forklift experience preferred
PHYSICAL ABILITIES
Requires visual acuity to read numbers, letters, and images; depth perception; hand and finger dexterity to use a keyboard at an advanced rate, and hand-eye coordination. Requires speaking and hearing ability sufficient to hear over phone and carry on routine conversations. Position involves light to medium walking, climbing stairs and ladders, standing, stooping, shoveling and sweeping, carrying and lifting of medium to heavy-weight materials (between 50 and 100 pounds).
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While primary work environment is in an environmentally control area, some heights, dusty areas, confined space, and working outdoors.
