We are currently seeking a Distribution & Production Specialist to join our vibrant and collaborative team at our Walterboro, SC Mayzo Operations Center. In this key individual contributor role, you will support operations by receiving, preparing, and shipping products to customers across North America and globally. Your contributions will directly impact customer satisfaction and company growth. This role requires flexibility, as you could work in both the distribution warehouse and on the production floor.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Receiving Unload inbound trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, dollies, or other necessary equipment. Match incoming materials to freight bills and note any discrepancies. Shipping Pull inventory from designated locations and prepare outbound shipments per customer requirements and ISO procedures. Load outbound shipments onto trucks using appropriate equipment. Production Perform light chemical production tasks including repackaging, relabeling, and blending/mixing, under direction from the Production Manager. Operate heavy machinery as needed to complete production activities. Safety Maintain zero safety violations. Report all safety incidents and near-misses promptly. Follow all safety protocols; a safety-first mindset is essential due to use of heavy machinery. Inventory All employees share responsibility for maintaining inventory accuracy. Other Duties Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required. 2 – 5 years of experience in manufacturing/production preferred. Forklift certification preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Capable of managing multiple tasks and working across departments. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Attention to detail.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Continuous standing and walking. Frequent climbing, balancing, bending, stooping, kneeling, or crawling. Regularly lifting/pushing/carrying of items over 50 lbs. Exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and potentially toxic chemicals. Frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. Frequently work around loud noise (examples: production machinery and equipment)
Equipment Used:
