Full Job Description Crandall Corporation:

Crandall Corporation provides residuals management for industrial and automotive facilities. We collect and manage non-hazardous wastes such as scrap tires, used oil and oil filters, scrap metal, etc.

Job Purpose:

The production operator provides support through handling inbound and outbound materials. The material handling includes drum handling, loading/unloading tanker trucks, and loading/unloading box trucks including drums, pallets, boxes, pails, used tires, and other materials. The production operations assistant must maintain equipment in good working order and provide quality service to clients. This position supports the Company’s operations department.

Duties and Responsibilities Service:

Unload drums, boxes, and materials as they arrive at the terminal Load/unload tanker trucks Load box trucks with products and materials for customer services Operate as kid steer Operate an industrial lift truck Operate commercial vehicles on company property Work in a safe and efficient manner Maintain tools and equipment in good working order Complete all required paperwork Notify the supervisor of any repairs or maintenance required Report all incidents immediately to the supervisor Manage materials according to federal/state regulations

Paperwork/Administrative:

Complete daily operational logs Inspect inbound/outbound manifests and paperwork Complete bills of lading and manifests Complete company paperwork, including service orders, worksheets, and time on the Daily Time Log form, etc. Maintain paperwork thoroughly and accurately Communicate with the dispatch and operations supervisor

Operations:

Work with operations regarding loading/unloading service vehicles Assist operations as needed and as requested Occasionally work in operations, performing other tasks Occasionally work with Drivers as a helper Infrequent, occasional overnight travel

Qualifications:

The following are some of the skills and qualifications that are required for the position.

Qualifications include:

High school diploma or equivalent Clean driving record and dependable transportation Lift truck experience is a plus Skid steer experience is a plus Ability to complete paperwork accurately Ability to lift used tires, move drums, etc. Ability to stand or sit for extended periods Ability to think logically Good reasoning skills Good social/people skills Attention to detail Working conditions: This position works in outdoor environments, automotive service and repair shops, and industrial manufacturing facilities. The atmospheric conditions may include cold and warm environments, humidity, and occasionally dusty environments. The position may require heavy lifting and some pushing or pulling. The position may also include operating industrial lift trucks and skid steers.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires standing for long periods of time. This position requires periodic heavy lifting and pushing/pulling. Must be able to lift 75 pounds or more. Must be able to use pallet jacks and drum hand trucks to move containers. Must be in generally good physical condition
