Production Associate – Powder Coating mill/extruder operator 3.3 3.3 out of 5 stars Inman, SC 29349 Opsource has partnered with a local manufacturing company in Inman, SC. We are looking for an experienced Manufacturing Production Associate , backup warehouse and majority production. A Manufacturing Production Associate ensures that production lines operate seamlessly and support various department operations as needed. This encompasses the 3 core manufacturing processes of Weighing, Extruding, and Milling. Core functions include cleaning, repetitive lifting of up to 50lbs, small hand tool manipulation for cleaning, assembly, and operation various mechanical machinery and equipment.

Shift for this position:

Mid-shift 10am-6:30pm – will transition to a true 2nd shift, 3pm-11:30pm, later this year Pay rate for this position: $17.00 Key Responsibilities Operate equipment safely and efficiently according to training and work instructions. Prepare equipment for use by cleaning and assembling following work instructions. Cross Training to learn all 3 core functional areas of Weighing, Extrusion, and Milling. Fill in for absent team members when required (cross-training is critical). Work overtime when necessary to meet production goals. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area. Be a team player whenever possible without being asked. Qualifications Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise Ability to read work instructions, perform basic math, and effectively communicate. Capacity and willingness to learn and operate multiple pieces of equipment/processes. Have a reliable means of transportation with a reliable attendance record. Ability to safely operate a forklift. Education Requirements High school diploma, GED, or prior manufacturing experience. Physical/Mental Requirements Ability to stand, bend, twist, and focus for prolonged periods. Constant alertness and attention to detail. Safety conscious. Tolerance for exposure to dust and odors. Ability to effectively use small hand tools such as wrenches, hammers, and screw drivers. Ability to repetitively lift to 50 pounds. Environment is dusty. Must be ok with being around dust.
