Job Description
SMALL manufacturer of laminated paper products in Landrum, SC seeks general warehouse and production labor,including pulling and packing product, forklift operation; light lifting, shipping document prep, and use of converting equipment (cutters, coaters, laminators).Occasional maintenance tasks also arise. Mutual respect, and a strong sense of “ownership”, and unquestioned integrity are absolutely mandatory. This is a friendly, low-hassle atmosphere, but self-directed (self-starting) work is expected.
Please be aware….there are only a few workers, therefore your contribution will be quite visible and comprise the basis for our continued 24-year successful operation.

Essential duties and responsibilities
- Assist shipping and receiving, unloading trucks and checking in raw materials
- Assemble orders by pulling items from inventory as listed on a packing list by packing paper products in boxes or stacking on pallets
- Wrap, band, weigh and label pallets for Less-than-Truckload shipping, including affixing shipping documents and completing a Bill of Lading
- Sort and place completed paper products on racks or shelves
- Assist in counting of physical inventory, and take ownership in inventory management by identifying shortages, off-grade, damage, and other factors that would degrade ability to fill customer orders
- Operate converting equipment, such as, but not limited to, cutters, coaters, dryers, and laminators
- Operate pallet jacks and multiple types of forklifts, including a roll clamp lift
- Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness
- Learn aspects of facility operation including lighting control, air compressor(s) operation, basic fire alarm system operation, door security, and related items to enable independent opening and closing of the facility
- Wear the proper safety equipment (typically only safety glasses or gloves on occasion).Qualification requirements
- Relevant experience is preferred, but we are happy to train the right person. All aspects of this job can be learned

- Good communication, organization, time management, and basic mathematical skills (particularly, understanding dimensions on a tape measure).Physical demands
- Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50 lbs and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 50 lbs with assistance
- Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch
- Occasionally required to climb and balance.
