SHIFT 1st shift (5:30am – 2:30pm ~ hours will vary)
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for preparing ingredients for batch runs based on daily production schedule. Ensure accurate weights and measures for formula, and record usage for relieving of raw materials. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Set up for production, and open and weigh materials for formulas Ensure accuracy of scales used for batch preparation Perform routine quality checks, including inspecting all raw materials in preparation for production Maintain accurate relieving documentation of raw materials Maintain cleanliness of work area Follow all plant safety regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices Required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Visual, auditory and hand dexterity. Full body mobility. Continuous movement, and must be able to stand for long periods of time Good hand/eye coordination Heavy lifting required, some over 50lbs Ability to work in varied temperature environments (0-50 deg.) – COLD
ENVIRONMENTS
Adequate reading/language, writing and math skills. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals and to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to meet expectations on Safety, Attendance, Teamwork, Quality, and Productivity metrics Ability to follow instructions and communicate clearly with coworkers
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent Food processing/handling experience preferred
