Full Job Description General Function:
The ideal candidate wants to share Jesus Christ, is an excellent communicator, a team player, detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be able to think ahead to the next step with minimal direction and supervision and is able to be flexible and adapt when changes happen. This person will be working with daily playlists and making sure that the correct programs air at the correct time on our station. The ideal candidate will also have video production experience. Adobe Creative Suite experience is a plus. This position requires some physical activity as needed for special projects. The ideal candidate will help to ensure the overall success of CTN by performing all other duties as assigned.
Production Assistant Responsibilities:
- When needed produce, edit, tag various spots (IDs, program promos, devotionals, etc.) a basic level of editing skill is required.
- Function as a Production Assistant, which includes operating camera, run audio, etc.
, in studio and at on location shoots. Studio prep work may also be required.
Master Control Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain all areas of the Master Control Department.
- File transfers, uploads and downloads for CTN FTP site.
- Build daily logs and daily playlist.
- Monitor over the air signal for quality control for the
WVLR/WTNB
main signal as well as the dot side channels.
- Responsible for alerting the Program Director and General Manager if there is an interruption in the transmission of any of the signals.
- Document any program discrepancies.
- Verify that each program, commercial spot, and station ID aired correctly.
- Sign the daily log at the end of each shift.
Education Requirements:
Minimum:
H S Graduate/GED Prefer:
Diploma or degree in Broadcasting or Media Production from a college or trade school, or equivalent experience and one year working in a television station or television production environment.
Skills and Work Experience Requirements:
- Organized and detail oriented.
- Ability to work against deadlines.
- Manage effectively under pressure.
- Self-reliant, dependable, resourceful.
- Courteous, discreet and wise in dealing with people.
- Computer and technically competent.
- Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro and have good editing skills.
Other Requirements:
- Must be a born again Christian and attend a Bible believing church.
- Must be able to lift and move items up to 35 lbs.
