Hopper Filler/Production Operator Retro Industries 107 N Ash Ave, South Pittsburg, TN 37380 Job Brief The Hopper Filler plays a crucial role in the efficient operation of manufacturing processes by feeding materials into machines and equipment. This position requires attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess experience in material handling, machine operation, and a strong understanding of safety procedures. Key skills include the ability to monitor equipment performance, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate effectively with team members to maintain production flow. Responsibilities Feed raw materials into hopper systems or other machinery as required. Remove finished products and waste materials from equipment efficiently. Monitor material levels and notify supervisors of any shortages or equipment malfunctions. Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency. Follow all safety protocols and industry regulations during operation. Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and minimize downtime. Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure proper functionality. Document production data and report any discrepancies to management. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in manufacturing or production operations are a plus. Proven experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment, preferably in a similar role. Strong understanding of machinery operation and material handling techniques. Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods. Basic mechanical skills for troubleshooting equipment issues. Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing setting.
