Night Production Machinery Specialist 3.7 3.7 out of 5 stars Vonore, TN 37885 Night Shift Machine Operator We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Night Shift Machine Operator to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for the operation, setup, monitoring, and maintenance of equipment used in the molded fiber production process. You will play a key role in ensuring smooth night operations, meeting overnight production targets, and maintaining high standards in both quality and safety. Key Responsibilities Set up, operate, and monitor machinery used in the molded fiber production process during night shifts. Perform troubleshooting and routine maintenance to ensure safe and efficient equipment operation. Train and guide junior night shift operators or new team members as needed. Load raw materials and maintain continuous production flow. Inspect finished products using precision measuring tools to ensure quality standards are met. Conduct performance tests and make necessary adjustments for optimal machine function. Maintain accurate records of machine performance, maintenance, and inspections. Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment by adhering to all safety procedures. Handle the receiving of raw materials and shipping of finished products using warehouse and inventory systems. Collaborate with team members and night shift supervisors to meet production goals and timelines. Function as a team player while meeting individual night shift performance expectations. Essential Functions Maintain a strong understanding of assigned equipment and processes. Monitor and operate related utilities and process control systems. Perform preventive maintenance tasks on machines and plant facilities. Support other plant areas during the night shift as needed per production demands. Follow all safety, environmental, and good manufacturing practices. Communicate clearly and respectfully across all levels of the organization. Manage environmental discharges, contractors, and area visitors as required. Be available to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed. Minimum Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Strong mechanical aptitude and basic understanding of process control systems. Solid math and communication skills. Familiarity with plant safety procedures and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices). Ability to lift heavy materials and perform repetitive motion tasks. Capable of operating foot pedals, levers, and switches effectively. Comfortable working independently and collaboratively on night shifts. Willingness to work 12-hour night shifts on a rotating schedule. Experience Required Minimum 3 years of experience in plant manufacturing or a similar industrial environment. Pulp and Paper industry experience is a plus .
