Production Operator Position Available In Scott, Tennessee

Production Operator Thermoid 240 Industrial Lane, Oneida, TN 37841 Position Summary The Sewing Machine Operator will work on a variety of manufacturing tasks in the production of industrial ducting, which may include operation of equipment, handling of raw materials, following build instructions, and movement of product. This position will report to the Production Supervisor. This position’s assigned shift is 6am to 2:30pm Monday thru Friday and pays $17.32 to start and $18.95 after 90 days. Principle Duties and Responsibilities Operate industrial sewing machines (single needle, double needle, cover stitch, etc.) to sew and assemble industrial ducting products according to specifications. Read and interpret work orders, patterns, or technical drawings. Align pieces and stitch them together accurately, maintaining proper seam allowance and construction quality. Inspect finished products for quality assurance, making repairs or corrections as needed. Perform basic machine maintenance, such as changing needles and thread, cleaning, and troubleshooting minor issues. Meet daily production targets while maintaining safety and quality standards. Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to improve workflow and resolve production challenges. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area. Employ established set-up and Standard Operating Procedures for machines, tooling, gauging and other necessary equipment Employ basic math skills of addition, subtraction, and multiplication to report production Provide accurate production reporting Maintain reliable attendance record Preferred Experience and Education High school diploma or GED preferred 1-2 years in a manufacturing environment preferred Experience with production reporting, computers and documentation is a plus Physical Requirements Flexible and long hours sometimes required. Physically medium duty work required Requires sitting continuously, standing continuously and walking occasionally throughout the day Able to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects up to 50 pounds frequently HBD Industries is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
