Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Leader to oversee operations within our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a solid understanding of warehouse processes, ensuring that production goals are met efficiently and safely. This role requires a hands-on approach, as you will be responsible for guiding team members in various tasks including assembly, fabrication, and the use of power tools.
Duties:
Coordinates, facilitates, and directs the daily activities of hourly manufacturing Associates. Set up the production line to the specification of the customer’s order and work closely with various departments to ensure that parts are manufactured according to customer’s specifications. Makes sure that appropriate parts and quantity of parts are being run according to production schedule. Communicates any safety, quality, and/or production related issues with Supervisor or appropriate management representative. Coordinate housekeeping activities of area. Provides necessary training to new associates and documents said training. Identify, investigate, and resolve delays in the shift Work with Supervisor and other leaders to identify and address inefficiencies Other duties as assigned
Skills/Abilities:
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Thorough understanding of operations policies and practices. Excel/ERP/Hand Scanner Computer Skills (Basic Outlook, Word, and Excel knowledge) GP a plus. Ability to read and write English.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or GED 1-2 years of previous lead experience preferred, not required Physical requirements: Must be able to stand, walk, push, bend and/or squat for 10+ hours in a day. Must be able to lift up to 25-50 Ibs at a time. Regularly perform repetitive tasks Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to work in a manufacturing facility environment.
