BirdieBlue Studio in Morrisville, Vermont BirdieBlue is seeking a flexible, hard-working individual with an entrepreneurial spirit to join our small but growing team in Vermont! This position is full-time and based in our Morrisville, VT Cut and Sew Studio. About BirdieBlue At BirdieBlue, we are on a mission to save as many clothes from landfills as possible by turning old ski and snowboard clothes into fanny packs, sling bags, and carry all totes. We create lifestyle bags that allow the everyday adventurer to express their personality while also showing their love for Mother Earth. Since our founding in 2022, we have saved more than 7500 pieces of old gear from landfills.

What You Will Do :

Assist in the assembly of products on the our production line, ensuring adherence to quality specifications and standard operating procedures Manage washing and sorting ski and snow gear used to make BirdieBlue Bags Cut up and take apart ski and snow gear Cut out bag patterns from the old ski and snow gear fabrics that will be used to create new bags Sort and organize color combos in partnership with BirdieBlue design team Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently Support warehouse operations by organizing materials and maintaining an orderly workspace. You! The ideal candidate is a detailed oriented team member dedicated to high quality work. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our production process by assisting with assembly line tasks, operating machinery, and ensuring that all products meet quality standards. Experience working on cut and sew projects, working with various types of fabric and thread to create or modify various accessories and bags is preferred, but our BirdieBlue team is also open to and willing to train. You will be part of a small, cross-functional team, trained to support all steps of BirdieBlue manufacturing and upcycling process. We’re looking for someone who is creative, shares a passion for sustainability, can be flexible to find solutions instead of problems You bring a strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. You are flexible and can adapt to changing priorities and work schedules as needed. You are a team player and happy to jump in and help meet production deadlines when needed.
