Job Description
Assistant Quality Manager 2.8 2.8 out of 5 stars 1195 County Road 177, Cusseta, AL 36852 Assist in the managing of the Quality department and oversees all quality programs at the DDHLA facility. Develops action plans to maintain and improve product quality internally. Initiates investigations of quality measures, determine corrective actions to be taken and implements corrective actions. Acts as the TS QMR and maintains the TS database.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assist in the managing of the Quality department and oversees quality programs at the DDHLA facility including the plant floor inspection, and statistical process control. Recommend training for department associates and such other training for associates on quality issues as needed. Develops action plans to maintain and improve product quality and customer satisfaction. Initiates investigations of quality concerns, determine corrective actions to be taken and implements corrective actions. Recommends, interprets and enforces quality policies and practices. Assists in the development of policies and procedures. Promotes an associate relation’s environment that is consistent with long term management objectives. Plans, organizes and allocates the department’s resources to meet department and company goals. Prepares quality assurance budget and controls expenses.
Secondary Functions:
Prepare quality reports as needed. Serves as a member of various committees as needed. Performs other duties as required.
Specialized Training, Skills, Abilities, Experience:
4 year degree in quality, engineering, manufacturing management or an equivalent field. 5-7 years of previous experience in an automotive quality assurance environment. Knowledge of quality systems, statistical process control and blueprint reading. Physical Requirements /
Working Conditions:
Office environment with noise from computer peripherals such as mainframe, disk drive and printers. May spend time in travel between customers and suppliers using an automobile in high traffic areas. Exposure to automobile accidents causing bodily injury. Sometimes lifts, carriers or moves objects – up to 25 lbs. Sometimes objects weighing more than 50 lbs.
