LotusWorks is currently seeking a QA Manager to lead and oversee all quality assurance functions on-site at a high-performance data center facility in Montgomery, Alabama. This role is responsible for implementing the project-specific Quality Assurance Plan, conducting audits and inspections, and driving compliance with ISO standards, project specifications, and client requirements. The successful candidate will have proven experience managing QA/QC operations across MEP, civil, and equipment installations in complex, mission-critical environments.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement the project-specific Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) Ensure all construction activities comply with company quality standards, contract requirements, and industry specifications Conduct regular audits and site inspections to ensure adherence to QA/QC protocols and identify areas for improvement Review and approve Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), checklists, method statements, and testing records Manage and resolve Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions Lead and participate in quality-related meetings and project progress reviews with stakeholders Coordinate quality assurance activities and documentation with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and the client Oversee and verify material inspections, equipment installations, and ensure conformance with design drawings and vendor specifications Maintain all project QA/QC documentation for final turnover packages and regulatory closeout Provide training and mentorship to field teams on quality standards, procedures, and best practices Collaborate with commissioning teams to support quality handover and system readiness activities Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize QA performance and compliance

Skills Required:

Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in QA/QC for large-scale construction projects (preferably data centers or mission-critical facilities) Strong understanding of MEP systems, civil/structural construction, and equipment installations Familiarity with ISO 9001, ASME, ASTM, and IEC construction and quality standards Proven experience in implementing QA/QC plans and managing field-level ITPs and NCRs Certifications preferred: CQA (Certified Quality Auditor), PMP, or equivalent Proficient in QA/QC software, reporting platforms, and digital documentation tools Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams Experience supporting commissioning phases and understanding of quality turnover requirements Education / Licenses / Certifications Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical discipline. Proof of education, licenses, and certifications will be required where applicable.
