As the Walmart Testing Lead, you will part of a team that is responsible for making sure the company’s products and services meet set standards, that testing requirements (factories and garments) are up to date, and all testing is done on an accurate schedule within the company’s production timelines.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities :
Filling out and submitting test request forms to testing labs for both domestic and import orders. Ensuring all Walmart vendor testing and internal inspection requirements are followed and submitted on time, per order. Communicating all testing statuses on internal Time and Action calendar and with correlating parties in real-time and digital logging of test reports. Disbursing critical failures to requires parties within 24 hours of receipt. Work with factories on any failures and CAPA resolutions within the set amount of time allotted. Submitting all CAPAs to Walmart’s system and lead communication with the Walmart Quality Assurance team during this process. Performing performance tests and measurements on garments as needed. Learn and cataloguing all required international and domestic testing protocols. Ensuring product compliance with international and national legislation and standards. Analyzing testing performance and data against defined parameters. Establish methods to lower testing costs. Maintaining good records & communications so that qualitative & quantitative analysis is readily available. Checking daily submissions of all inspections and communications related to products being produced, by the outside QC team. Research and resolve failure rates to proactively reduce failure rates to increase overall quality levels in production.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Knowledge and experience of Walmart testing process, including private label Strong understanding of remediations for CAPAs and review of them (the five why’s) Experience with 3rd party testing labs, such as CTL, Intertek, and BV, for domestic and international testing Superior written and verbal communication skills with both internal and external parties and factories. Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines and adapt to change. Ability to work independently and effectively prioritize responsibilities with minimal supervision Knowledge of garment construction, textiles, fabrics, and tech packs. Passionate about delivering great product and value to our customers. Organizing, planning, and problem-solving skills. Good statistical and numerical ability.
Computer skills required:
Excel, Word, Outlook email, general computer skills, database experience preferred. Organized, effective in time management.
