Job Description

Quality Assurance Manager 2.8 2.8 out of 5 stars 50 Industrial Loop North, Orange Park, FL 32073 Bridgestone HosePower, LLC is the the Premier distributor of Hydraulic and Industrial hose products for over 39 years. Due to increasing growth and business demands, HosePower is seeking a globally savvy, quality focused to join our Orange Park, FL based Quality Assurance Team. The Quality Assurance Manager will oversee the development and analysis of statistical data and specifications to determine present standards and establish proposed quality and reliability expectancy. Once established, the QA manager will manage, plan, coordinate, and head the quality control program designed to ensure continuous production and service remains consistent with established standards.

Responsibilities:

Formulates and maintains quality control objectives, and coordinates objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other managers to maximize quality and reliability and to minimize costs. Manages, through intermediate personnel, workers engaged in activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, services, and products. Develops and implements methods and procedures for monitoring work activities, such as preparation of records of expenditures, progress reports, etc., in order to inform management of current status or work activities. Plans, promotes, and organizes training activities related to quality and reliability. Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists employees in solving work problems. May recruit, hire, train staff, evaluate employee performance, and recommend or initiate promotions, transfers, and disciplinary action. Interprets company policy to employees and enforces company policy and practices. May investigate customer complaints regarding quality and make appropriate adjustments.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field. Advanced degrees (Master’s) can be beneficial for higher-level roles.

Experience:

3-5+ years of experience in quality assurance or control. Leadership or supervisory experience in a quality role. Experience in manufacturing environments, especially with fluid power and hose manufacturing.

Skills:

Strong communication skills (written and verbal). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Data analysis and statistical thinking. Leadership and team management skills. Knowledge of quality management systems and standards (ISO 9001, etc.). Familiarity with quality control tools and software. Attention to detail and an understanding of manufacturing processes.

Certifications:

Certifications like ASQ (American Society for Quality) or

ISO 9001

Lead Auditor can be advantageous.

Specific Industry Knowledge:

Experience with fluid power systems, hoses, and related manufacturing processes is highly valuable. Understanding of industry standards and regulations related to fluid power and hose manufacturing.
