SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan, train, and provide direction to QA Techs and QA Leads.
- Review time clock activity and issue weekly personnel schedule.
- Oversee and assist the daily workflow of QA staff on production floor.
- Responsible for assisting in training new Quality associates on Food Quality and Food Safety.
- Work on root cause analysis investigations for customer complaints, foreign material, and quality failures.
- Assist with disciplining employees in accordance with company policy.
- Must be able to work additional hours or mandatory overtime in case of unforeseen circumstances for production.
- Excellent organization, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Must be a strong team player and display professional and courteous behavior at all times.
- Proficient in MS Office Applications
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure the safety and legality of food.
- Demonstrate proficiency with all Quality Leads and Techs.
- Duties include a combination of supervision, training, and teaching members of the Quality team and working well with Operations, Warehousing, and Sanitation departments.
- Ensure product Quality, Food Safety and Regulatory Compliance at all times.
- Educate QA team to comply with company’s safety, quality, GMP and regulatory requirements and train technicians, leads, and production plant personal on plant safety and quality policies.
- Organize and manage the QA team’s daily work schedule.
- Ensure accurate reporting of all testing data.
Knowledge of FDA regulations, Pest Control, HACCP, BRC, Food Defense, and general Food Safety and Quality programs.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Be able to stand for at least an eight to twelve (8-12) hour period
- Be able to lift, carry, handle, and grasp at least 25 lbs.
- Be able to push and pull a wheeled cart to move items weighing up to 100 lbs.
- Be able to walk up and down stairs/steps (occasionally)
- Be able to work in different Climate environment
