JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary Regal Boats is seeking a motivated self-starter to join our team as the Quality Manager. The Quality Manager is responsible for supporting product quality, cost, and delivery goals by coordinating quality control programs and driving improvements in quality performance. This role collaborates closely with internal teams to ensure manufacturing processes meet Regal’s quality standards and customer expectations. Serve as a quality advocate throughout the organization, promoting a culture of continuous improvement. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement quality best practices, policies, and procedures. Use data-driven methods to identify trends and drive process improvements that positively impact key performance metrics such as CSI scores. Support the integration of quality and manufacturing goals through shared team vision and collaboration. Supervise and support a team of Quality Technicians and Inspectors. Apply root cause analysis techniques to resolve product and process issues. Foster a proactive quality-at-the-source mindset among production teams. Monitor and support compliance with Regal’s Quality Management System (QMS). Analyze internal defect and warranty data to guide corrective actions. Coordinate with production leaders to maintain and improve product reliability and minimize cost. Provide clear verbal and written communication to train and guide team members. Promote and facilitate training activities related to product quality and reliability. Maintain a strong presence on the production floor and engage in daily operations. Support Regal’s safety standards by ensuring quality processes do not compromise safety practices. Required Qualifications Relevant experience in the marine industry or similar fields (e.g., automotive, aerospace, heavy equipment). Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proven leadership ability and team coordination experience. Strong understanding of quality control methodologies and lean manufacturing principles. Proficiency in data analysis and problem-solving. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Experience with Quality Management Systems. A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field is preferred. 3 to 5 years of quality experience, including at least 1 to 3 years in leadership. Conversational English proficiency. Preferred Qualifications Thorough understanding of assembly, fiberglass lamination, their components, and manufacturing techniques Appropriate quality certifications are highly desirable. Work Environment Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment where ambient air temperature can exceed outside air temperature, reaching over 100 degrees Fahrenheit at times. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to bend at the waist and knees and stand for extended periods of time. The employee is frequently required to climb into and out of the boats using stairs. The employee must frequently be able to lift 50 pounds, work 10-hour days with most of the time being on their feet, and work overtime, whether planned or unplanned.
