This person will oversee rosin pressing, dry sift, bubble hash, and other mechanical separation processes with a focus on maximizing yield, terpene retention, and product consistency. This role combines technical expertise with leadership and process development in a regulated lab setting. Responsibilities Manage the daily operations of the solventless extraction department Operate and optimize rosin presses, freeze dryers, and filtration equipment Supervise staff and provide hands-on training in all solventless techniques Maintain strict adherence to SOPs and adjust workflows as needed for efficiency Monitor product quality (appearance, texture, aroma, potency) and report deviations Track inventory and ensure compliance with seed-to-sale systems like METRC Calibrate and maintain equipment used in solventless processing Work closely with quality control and R D to innovate new SKUs and product forms Document batch records, processing logs, and yield data accurately Maintain sanitary, organized workspaces in line with safety and cGMP protocols Requirements 3+ years of hands-on experience in solventless extraction (bubble hash, rosin, etc.) Prior leadership or team lead experience in a cannabis production or lab environment Deep knowledge of hash-making techniques, product curing, and storage protocols Ability to monitor and adjust temperature, humidity, and pressure variables precisely Experience using commercial-grade equipment (e.g., freeze dryers, rosin presses, filtration systems) Familiarity with cannabis compliance platforms (e.g., METRC) and batch documentation Must be 21+ with eligibility to work in a licensed cannabis facility Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in cold/warm environments
