We are seeking a highly skilled Traveling Quality Control Manager (QCM) to oversee and ensure the quality and compliance of construction projects for federal clients, including the USACE and NAVFAC.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in quality control management within the construction sector, particularly for government contracts, and will be responsible for maintaining high standards of quality throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities
Conduct regular inspections and assessments of construction work to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
Develop and implement quality control plans and procedures in accordance with federal guidelines and regulations.
Coordinate with project management and construction teams to identify and resolve quality-related issues promptly.
Prepare and maintain accurate documentation of quality control activities, including reports, checklists, and non-conformance reports.
Provide training and guidance to project personnel on quality control practices and standards.
Serve as the primary point of contact for quality control matters with federal clients, including the Army Corps of Engineers and Navy.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control management within the construction industry, preferably on federal projects.
Strong knowledge of quality control standards and practices, specifically related to USACE and NAVFAC guidelines.
Certification as a Quality Control Manager (CQCM) is highly desirable.
Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively interact with various stakeholders.
Ability to travel frequently to project sites as required. Benefits
