Quality Control Manager Job Summary:
As a Quality Control Manager at Intrepid Powerboats Inc., you will play a critical role in ensuring that our products and processes meet the highest standards of quality and safety. You will be responsible for overseeing and implementing quality control measures throughout our manufacturing and maintenance processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Control Procedures:
Develop, implement, and maintain quality control processes, procedures, and standards in compliance with industry regulations.
Inspection and Testing:
Oversee inspection and testing of materials, components, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
Product Compliance:
Ensure that all marine products meet industry-specific regulations, including safety and environmental standards.
Team Management:
Lead and manage a team of QC inspectors and technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
Documentation:
Maintain detailed records of quality control activities, including inspection reports, non-conformance reports, and corrective actions.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvement and work closely with production and engineering teams to implement changes that enhance product quality.
Supplier Evaluation:
Collaborate with suppliers to establish and maintain quality standards for incoming materials and components.
Audits and Certifications:
Prepare for and participate in quality audits and certification processes to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Problem Resolution:
Investigate and address any quality-related issues, including root cause analysis and corrective action plans.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, quality management) or equivalent work experience. Proven experience in quality control and management, preferably in the marine or manufacturing industry. Knowledge of marine industry regulations and standards. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Certification in quality management (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Manager) is a plus.
