Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a Quality Assurance Manager in Macon, GA. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising a team in implementation and daily execution of product specification testing, food safety and quality procedures. In a Quality Assurance Manager job you’ll be responsible for: Providing leadership across all food safety, quality programs and lab activities. Reviewing documentation from the quality lab to ensure accuracy.
Performing monthly chemical and expendable inventory to submit requests to QSM for ordering.
Writing, reviewing and implementing lab safety protocols. Maintaining weekly microbiological sample submission program.
Managing sample retention and evaluation program.
Developing and training staff on standards, processes and skills fundamental to food safety/quality. What you’ll need: Previous supervisory experience is required.
Must understand GMP and HACCP.
Must have proficient computer skills such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Strong interpersonal communication and oral presentation skills.
Must demonstrate good leadership skills.
Must have good technical reading and writing skills.
Must have good math and analytical skills. Must be dependable and prompt with strong integrity and work ethic.
Self-motivated, flexible, and able to adapt to a rapidly changing work environment; able to work well with others.
