Overview:

Wallenius Wilhelmsen is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor to assist our growing team based in Pooler, GA. The Quality Assurance Supervisor is a practical, hands-on role which requires an impactful, articulate, results-orientated, continuous improvement leader to help facility managers champion and drive high-quality cultures of Performance, Safety & Quality. Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Drive a culture of injury avoidance and continuous improvement
Drive use of I&O register to report incidents and opportunities related to Performance, Safety, Quality
Report and follow up on PSQ non-conformities
Coordinate Performance, Safety & Quality Meetings on a daily/weekly/monthy schedule as well as PSQ assistance visits.
Help manage, facilitate and audit:
Process and SOP Master Files for all contracts/customers and ensure processes and SOPs are all up to date
Conduct regular On-the-Job Observations in all Equipment Processing Center work areas
Conduct regulatory, Safety, Job specific training
Equipment/Asset Registers

  • ensure equipment is suited and safe to use and calibration certificates are up to date, vehicles certified as safe to use and asset registers updated
    Conduct Operational Risk assessments
    Maintain/Conduct Quality audits on all customer inventory
    “Way of Working” Compliance (5S, SOP, H&S, Incident/Accident reporting, CAR, Safety awareness, PPE Compliance, Housekeeping, Equipment and Tools Inspections, Induction Training, Stats updating on WoW).

Qualifications

WHAT YOU’LL NEED 1-3

years’ experience in a Continuous Improvement or similar role
Exceptional mechanical aptitude (e.g., intuitive understanding of mechanical/assembly processes)
Proven track record of driving continuous quality improvement in a lean manufacturing environment utilizing root cause analysis (RCA) tools and methodologies (Lean Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, etc.)
Strong change management, leadership, and mentoring skills
Physical requirements include the ability to lift, carry and maneuver items up to 50 pounds, including bulky objects. This position requires repeated reaching, standing, stooping, kneeling, bending, and climbing onto and under a variety of heavy equipment
Must be able to work outside in inclement weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, dampness and humidity.
