JOB SUMMARY
The Quality Assurance Manager is a HomeCare HomeBase super-user responsible for the monitoring, implementation and evaluation of process and programs to meet all regulatory, accreditation and standards of practice. The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for the completion of internal audits throughout the program as well as the management of special projects as directed by senior leadership. They will collaborate with senior leadership and program directors to ensure compliance with the company Quality Assurance Improvement Plan and will collect, aggregate, and report outcomes as directed to the Compliance Department for analysis.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
This is a remote position but must live in any of the following states: Arizona, Utah, Colorado, or Georgia Schedule is Monday- Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm MST. Willing to travel up to 15% of the time
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Registered Nurse in the state in which we do business.
AZ, UT, CO, GA
Two (2) years of clinical experience in home health/hospice. One (1) year experience managing back-office flow for Home Care Home Base. Must have reliable transportation, proof of current automobile insurance and a valid driver’s license.
SKILLS/ABILITIES/KNOWLEDGE
Utilize appropriate communication skills, showing respect and compassion to learners. Demonstrates the ability to clearly document according to standards of practice and to audit the documentation of others utilizing resources accurately and efficiently and tools provided. Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of State and Federal regulations, and accrediting body of standards. Knowledge of ACHC standards preferred. Ability to learn and master the workflow in the
EMR. HCHB
experience required. Ability to accurately perform workflow and identify areas of non-compliance. Comprehensive knowledge of the principals and practices of hospice care delivery and regulations including fraud, abuse, and anti-kickback. Demonstrated record of accomplishment of developing and managing successful teaching strategies improving quality of patient care, compliance outcomes, and successfully following multi- performance improvement initiatives and plans of correction. Demonstrate the skill set that includes interpersonal, oral, and written communication to maintain a positive coaching environment. Demonstrate strong communication skills, relationship building, and consistently produce work that is detail-oriented and accurate. Possesses a professional and resourceful style; having the ability to work independently and as a team player, to take initiative, and manage multiple tasks and projects at the same time.
Basic computer skills:
understanding the basic notions of computer manipulation, managing computer files, word processing, using spreadsheets and databases; creating presentations; finding information and communicating using email; and being aware of social and ethical implications of Internet use.
