Job Description
Our client is a contract metal stamper supplying general industry with precision metal stampings and assemblies since 1975. We have an opening for a Quality Control Manager. We are looking for a hands-on, self motivated person who will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Quality Assurance system. We are looking for someone who wants their ideas put into action. Our client is located near a very desirable vacation area on the Southeast coast of Georgia. They are 1 hour south of Savannah, GA, 1 hour north of Jacksonville, FL and only a few miles from St. Simons Island, Jekyll Island and the beaches. Job Responsibilities Establish, maintain and improve in-process quality systems to ensure high product quality to customers Provide leadership and guidance in the development and maintenance of quality standards and critical-to-quality characteristics for process development Establish meaningful quality measurement criteria with timely, visible monitoring and communication of results Develop and implement inspection plans for new and existing parts Maintain inspection records Perform and oversee first article inspection on new parts Perform and oversee wide variety of raw material, in-process and finished good inspections Maintain a corrective action system to analyze and correct nonconforming conditions and complaints Ensure that all employees are properly trained in quality procedures and work instructions Skills / Experience Required 5+ years quality experience in a manufacturing environment Experience / training in stamping, machining, welding, fabrication or assembly a plus Experience with FMEA, Control Plans and First Part Submission a must Experience with all types of measurement devices (calipers, micrometers, height gages, pin gages, optical comparator etc.) Good verbal and written communication skills Self motivated, detail oriented and well organized Benefits Salary commensurate with experience Medical Insurance Short Term / Long Term Disability Company matching 401-K retirement plan Paid vacation and holidays
