Job Description:
This QA Manager position is critical. The ideal candidate will ensure that all food products meet regulatory standards, customer expectations, and internal quality benchmarks. The candidate will have a strong background in food science, quality systems, and regulatory compliance, along with excellent leadership and communication skills. We will only be considering candidates who are able to be onsite full-time. No Visa sponsorship.
Key Responsibilities:
1) Customer Service Engage with customers to address QA-related queries and complaints, ensure timely resolution of non-conformances Conduct root cause analysis and implement effective corrective and preventative actions. Ensure customer requirements (QA documents, questionnaires) are fulfilled on time, in full Work closely with the international team where needed 2) QA Operations Develop and implement food safety and quality assurance programs such as
HACCP, GMP, SQF
Work closely with production, procurement, and R D teams to ensure that quality standards are integrated into every stage of the food production process. Lead problem resolution for system, process, and product issues and subsequent implementation of containment actions. Analyze quality data and implement improvements Maintain documentation and records for traceability 3) Audits & Compliance Ensure compliance with regulatory and customer requirements Lead internal and external audits and manage corrective actions Train teams and individuals effectively on quality procedures, ensuring compliance with best practices across the business functions. Collaborate with suppliers to ensure raw material quality 4) Leadership & Continuous Improvement Train and supervise quality assurance staff Stay current with food safety regulations and industry trends and communicate these changes effectively across the organization Communicate quality issues and solutions across departments Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field 5+ years of experience in food quality assurance or food safety Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and food safety regulations Experience with third-party audits and certifications such as
SQF, BRC
Experienced in writing process documentation and relevant quality documentation Excellent leadership and team management skills with a strong sense of ownership and urgency Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management systems Passion for food safety and a commitment to continuous improvement Full-time onsite in NE Atlanta, GA
