Quality Assurance Manager – Poultry Processing Plant 4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars 1445 Josh Pirkle Road, Braselton, GA 30517 We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced QC Manager to oversee food safety, sanitation, and product quality in our poultry processing facility. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of
USDA/FSIS
regulations, experience with raw poultry sizing, and a strong background in managing quality systems for ready-to-cook operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Lead the Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) programs across raw and RTC lines Maintain and improve HACCP plans, SSOPs, GMPs, and SQF/BRC. Develop and implement quality control procedures for the plant. Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards. Conduct regular inspections of the plant and its equipment to identify and resolve quality issues. Ensure that pre-op and post op procedures are executed properly. Train and supervise quality control staff and production team members in quality control procedures and food safety protocols. Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies, auditors, and customers to ensure compliance and customer satisfaction. Analyze data and generate reports on quality and food safety performance. Collaborate with other departments to implement continuous improvement initiatives. Investigate and resolve customer complaints related to quality or food safety. Ensure that all quality and food safety records are accurate and up to date. Ensure that the plant follows our part of BRC program. Process – Perform assessments on where we can improve the process with the team and gain alignment up front on doing an assessment. Assessment would cover an understanding of cost, benefit, timing, resources required to implement, resources required to support afterwards, policy and procedure changes. Working with counterparts, ensure strong teamwork across the different departments and employee’s. Assist in production specification development and ensuring proper labeling. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) At least 5 years of Experience in Food Quality Control in a Poultry Processing Plant facility or Similar. Strong knowledge of
USDA/FSIS
regulations and poultry processing standards Bachelor’s degree in food science, Animal Science, Microbiology, or a related field/similar is recommended. Experience with raw sizing and RTC (par fry, marination, breading, etc.) lines. HACCP Certification (required) Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software programs.
Preferred Qualifications:
SQF Practitioner or BRC certification experience Bilingual (English/Spanish) Not mandatory Prior experience in high-volume cut-up and marinated chicken processing environments
