Job Description:

gpac is working with a Food Manufacturer that is seeking aQuality Assurance Manager , for their facility south of Madison.

This dairy company has been in business for 40 years and aregrowing significantly, adding a new position . They are looking forsomeone with Quality Assurance management experience, and able tooversee 2 plants in town. This position is ideal for someone whoprefers to manage from the floor, not an office, and enjoysmentoring personnel.

Duties and responsibilities:

Daytime hours butflexible for special situations Implement QA policies, procedures,and directives to ensure compliance with company, customer, andgovernment expectations, providing feedback and follow-up forcorrective action. Understand test results and be able tocommunicate adequately to customers Train and mentor QualityControl Technicians (from the floor, not office) Participate incustomer audits and annual SQF audits as needed. Conductpre-shipment reviews, CCPs, validation studies, and reportdeficiencies for GMPs, HACCP, and SSOPs. Direct inspection andsampling activities to maintain continuous control over materials,facilities, and products, including specification inspections,temperature, and weight checks. Identify and resolve problemspromptly; skillfully gather and analyze information; developalternative solutions; and work well in group problem-solvingsituations. Collaborate with the Plant Manager and SanitationManager to ensure proper housekeeping and maintenance offacilities, equipment, and grounds.

Qualifications:

3 years ofsupervisory experience preferred Computer skills, analytical,equipment and food-processing equipment knowledge. Knowledge ofquality control processes related to the food-processing industry.

Knowledge of quality process control and HACCP, SSOP and SOP.Knowledge of USDA and FDA standards. Experience with audits Goodorganizational and communication skills both verbally and written.
