As a

Quality Control Supervisor, Your Main Responsibilities Will Be:

Monitor Preventative Maintenance (PM) Progress Maintain real-time awareness of PM status, including daily, weekly, and monthly schedules, completion percentages, and manpower requirements. Analyze and Address Service Calls Review all service calls, particularly emergency callouts, to determine if they could have been avoided through the PM process. Investigate PM-related issues with the last technician to “touch” the equipment, discussing how the issue could have been prevented. Evaluate and Support Team Technical Abilities Assess the technical skills of PM team members, including subcontractors, and provide coaching or support when needed. Take responsibility for the overall PM process and the quality of work performed. Maintain Strong Customer Relationships Ensure customers have a positive perception of our services by staying attuned to their feedback. Clearly communicate the value and results of our efforts to customers. Manage Equipment Identification and Documentation Ensure all covered equipment is accurately numbered and identified in the SMS tasking system. Maintain the physical appearance of all covered equipment, including painting and upkeep as necessary. Prioritize and Plan Scheduling Input Provide input to ensure work is appropriately prioritized and assigned to the right team members. Take accountability for the outcome of scheduled tasks. Log and Report Quality Control Inspections Keep detailed logs of all QC inspections, prepared to present findings to the Operations or Service Manager at any time. Complete QC reports with attached photos, documenting discrepancies, corrective actions, and final results. Proactively Ensure Excellence in Service Take a proactive approach to overseeing activities, addressing potential issues before they escalate. Use findings from QC inspections as coaching opportunities, ensuring technicians understand expectations and standards. As a Quality Control Supervisor at Star Service, you should have the following qualifications, knowledge, skills, and abilities: Experience and Technical Expertise Proven experience in HVAC systems, preventative maintenance processes, and quality control practices. Strong understanding of compressor operation, failure analysis, and start-up procedures. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills Ability to evaluate service call data, identify patterns, and implement preventive measures. Skilled in root cause analysis for equipment failures and process improvements. Customer Relationship Management Proven ability to maintain positive client relationships and communicate the value of services provided. Strong interpersonal skills to gauge and address customer attitudes and concerns effectively. Attention to Detail Keen eye for identifying discrepancies during QC inspections and ensuring proper documentation and follow-through. Commitment to maintaining the professional appearance and organization of equipment and facilities. Proactive and Accountability-Oriented Mindset Demonstrates a proactive approach to identifying and resolving potential issues. Takes full ownership of outcomes, ensuring consistent alignment with company objectives. Technical Proficiency Proficient with tools, software, and equipment used in quality control processes and HVAC maintenance. Familiarity with safety standards, compliance requirements, and industry best practices. Communication Skills Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting, customer interactions, and team collaboration. Ability to document findings clearly, attach photographic evidence, and explain outcomes to stakeholders.
