Quality Manager Position Available In Cleveland, North Carolina

The Quality Manager will lead site-level quality assurance operations with responsibility for

compliance, product certification processes, internal audits, and customer satisfaction initiatives. This individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams, oversee training and audit readiness, and act as a visible leader for driving a strong quality culture across the plant.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead root cause analysis and quality-related problem solving across manufacturing processes, particularly scrap management and customer complaint resolution. Standardize acceptance criteria and quality procedures to reduce waste and variation. Ensure timely and accurate submission of PPAPs, First Articles, and product certifications. Oversee all internal audits and serve as site lead for

ISO 9001

certification and surveillance audits. Report and track Quality KPIs, presenting to leadership during quarterly Plant Quality Board meetings and annual Management Reviews. Deliver training on

ISO 9001

standards and Quality Awareness across staff levels. Collaborate with engineering and operations teams on product changes, deviations, and process improvements. Coordinate with purchasing to resolve key supplier quality issues. Represent Blachford during third-party and customer audits. Maintain authority over production holds, customer returns, and implementation of process controls. Supervise 1-2 direct Quality Technicians and provide leadership across the broader plant team (leadership experience not required).

Skills & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or a related technical field required. ASQ Certified Quality Engineer or Certified Quality Manager strongly . 2 years of experience in a quality management role, ideally within Tier 1 automotive or industrial manufacturing. Certified Internal Auditor for

ISO 9001

2015. Deep understanding of core quality tools including PPAP, SPC, APQP, MSA, and FMEA. Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook). Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presenting to customers and executive stakeholders. Proven ability to lead and train teams, manage audits, and coordinate cross-functional quality initiatives.
