Job Description Insight Global is looking for a Director of Engine Quality who will oversee quality operations at three Progress Rail facilities that manufacture and remanufacture engines. Key metrics tracked include Defects per Unit (DPU), Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), and nonconformances noted during AAR and ISO audits. This person will manage 3 direct reports and a team of 55 hourly, quality, and engineering team members under those direct reports. The team is spread out between KY, IN, NC, and FL. Skills and Requirements At least 4 years of Quality Assurance experience, including leading engineering or Six Sigma teams in an Automotive/transportation/manufacturing industry. Proven experience leading diverse teams in kaizen events. Skilled in using problem-solving tools in various settings. Knowledgeable about locomotive products and manufacturing processes, especially engine assembly. Successful in reducing the cost of poor quality. Experienced in improving first pass yields and reducing scrap/rework. Familiar with AAR standards, ISO 9001 certification/audits, and relevant EN standards.
