The Corporate Quality Director is a hands-on manufacturing/quality leader responsible for creating and driving a company-wide focus in customer engagement and product quality satisfaction. This role ensures that all processes, products, and services meet internal quality standards and customer needs, while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence across multiple sites. Position Summary The Corporate Quality Director is a hands-on manufacturing/quality leader responsible for creating and driving a company-wide focus in customer engagement and product quality satisfaction. This role ensures that all processes, products, and services meet internal quality standards and customer needs, while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence across multiple sites. Key Responsibilities Lead and drive improvement in our claims/complaints resolution process, cause and corrective action methods, and customer satisfaction metrics. Develop and enforce quality policies, procedures, and standards across all departments and facilities. Lead root cause analysis and A3 problem solving for quality incidents and non-conformances. Oversee internal and external audits; manage audit readiness and ensure timely closure of findings. Work closely with operations, engineering, procurement, and customer service teams to ensure product quality and process reliability. Develop quality metrics, dashboards, and reports for executive leadership. Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives using our Lean methodologies and A3 problem solving. Support supplier quality management and evaluate third-party vendors for compliance with quality standards. Coach and mentor manufacturing and sales team members across the organization; build a culture of quality and accountability. Qualifications Minimum 7-10 years of progressive experience in manufacturing, continuous improvement, and quality management. Bachelor’s degree in business, manufacturing, or quality/engineering preferred. Strong knowledge of quality standards and processes. Proven experience in problem solving to drive to root cause and effect necessary change Proven experience implementing and managing QMS systems and driving organizational change. Certified Quality Manager (CQM) and/or continuous improvement equivalent certifications preferred. Excellent leadership, communication, and influencing skills. Experience working in manufacturing, distribution, or industrial environments preferred. Key Competencies Continuous Improvement Mindset Strategic Thinking Change Management Data Analysis and Decision-Making Conflict Resolution Cross-functional Collaboration Experienced practitioner of Lean concepts and tools, including: Kaizen, TWI, 5S, VSM, SMED, DMAIC, etc. Familiarity with machining, assembly and process operations/industries. Knowledge of hardwood plywood manufacturing processes. Working Conditions Manufacturing operations on a daily and weekly basis. Can be cold in the winter and warm in the summer.
