Position Overview
The Manager of Quality Assurance is responsible to provide independent internal audit oversight of the quality system at HAECO as well as review and approval of contractors and vendors. The Manager of Quality Assurance shall maintain all records related to the internal audit and surveillance program in addition to the duties stated below.

Essential Job Duties:

Provides detailed management oversight of the Quality Assurance department including analysis of discrepant areas and development of corrective actions to prevent discrepancy reoccurrence.
Establishes and oversees auditing procedures for both in-house quality audits and outside Vendor quality audits.
Receives and escorts customer auditors.
Processes customer audit findings and responds to customer investigations on behalf of HAECO within specified timelines.
Maintains the Approved Vendor List (AVL).
Maintains the Subcontracted Functions listing.
Maintains the listing of vendors approved for subcontracted functions.
Receive and escort visiting FAA Inspectors.
Receives and escorts assigned FAA Inspectors.
Maintains a record of vendor audits to include audits conducted by phone, mail or in person.
Issues and resolves Supplier Corrective Action Request’s as necessary to address vendor performance.
Conducts all investigations, interviews and identifies root causes. Reviews recommended corrective and preventative actions. Develops and submits investigation reports.
Acts as ASAP coordinator for HAECO.
Maintains all quality metrics to measure quality performance.
Develops and provides the Monthly Operating Summary (MOS) to the facility General Manager.
Continually monitors for any

RSM, QCM, FAR

safety and/or operating procedure violations.
Ensures appropriate corrective actions are taken.
Develops and submits voluntary disclosures in accordance with AC00-58.

Secondary Duties:

Performs other duties and special projects as assigned by the VP of Quality and Safety
What you need: (Requirements)

Minimum:

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Moderate Computer Skills using Word, Excel and Power Point.
Excellent communication/people skills.
Thorough understanding of FAA Regulations parts 21,25,43,65,121,125, and 145.
Ability to travel extended periods of time for contract vendor auditing purposes.
A minimum of 5 years of similar professional experience in a related field is required.
10 Years in transport category maintenance or inspection or equivalent military experience.
Read, write and understand the English Language.

Preferred:

5 years in Quality Assurance as an Auditor or Manager
Experience dealing directly with FAA
FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate
