Job Summary:

To manage and coordinate the QA/QC Technicians and CWI personnel across the company. This position will also be responsible for the auditing of documentation managed by the QA/QC Team, as well as assisting to deal with any complications or disputes that may arise across the company. A focus of this role will be to build a quality team from an existing structure and focus on education and training as a means towards a better Quality Product.

Qualification Requirements:

CWI Certification (preferred) 15+ years of QA/QC inspecting Current driver’s license Must be able to travel across state to cover projects in a variety of areas

Essential Functions:

Build and develop a team and organizational structure for the Quality Department. Manage and coordinate QA/QC Technicians in the field and within the pre-fabrication shop. Assist with onsite activities as necessary. Manage and coordinate CWI personnel in the field and within the pre-fabrication shop. Assist with onsite activities as necessary. Oversee, from a high level, all projects within SPC, regarding quality, completion, and follow-through of all QA/QC documentation. Oversee, from a high level, the fabrication shop and BIM departments regarding quality, completion, and follow-through of all QA/QC documentation. Assist the project team and the QA/QC Technician in developing the site-specific QA/QC Manual. Utilize SPC’s standard procedures to create job specific weld/braze logs, naming conventions for the weld/braze maps, and ensure that all specifications/codes are met Assist the project team in coordination of the Weld Maps with the pre-fabrication facility. Work to develop, adjust or change any QA/QC Procedures based on needs of SPC or the scope of work being completed. Work closely with the Startup and Commissioning Specialists to ensure that all turnover scopes of work are completed in a timely fashion and both programs are synchronized. Participate in meetings as necessary.
