We are looking for a QC/QA Manager with a minimum 3-5 years of experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Position Summary The QC/QA Manager oversees all quality-related functions in our glass fiber textile manufacturing facility. Leading a small team of (2-3) quality assistants or technicians, this individual ensures consistent quality checks from incoming materials through final product release. This role requires not just maintaining quality records but taking ownership of root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and implementing systematic improvements. The QC/QA Manager will also serve as the primary contact for in-house non-conformance issues and customer quality claims. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership Manage and mentor a team of quality assistants/technicians. Delegate tasks effectively, ensuring timely inspections, lab testing, and proper documentation. Provide ongoing training to maintain and elevate quality standards. Quality Assurance & Control Develop and refine QA/QC processes to meet or exceed industry standards and customer requirements. Oversee incoming goods inspection and chemical lab testing to confirm raw materials comply with specifications. Conduct regular audits along the production line to verify adherence to established quality protocols. Non-Conformance & Customer Claims Management Investigate and manage internal non-conformances, ensuring prompt resolution and preventive measures. Serve as the point person for customer quality complaints, coordinating cross-functional teams to execute root-cause investigations and corrective actions. Maintain clear and proactive communication with customers regarding quality concerns and solutions. Continuous Improvement Transition quality operations from reactive issue-tracking to a proactive, data-driven approach centered on root-cause analysis. Collaborate with Production, R D, and Engineering teams to identify opportunities for process optimizations and long-term solutions. Lead or support improvement projects aimed at enhancing production efficiency and reducing quality defects. Documentation & Reporting Ensure accurate recording of inspection results, test data, and corrective action plans. Analyze quality metrics, compile comprehensive reports, and present findings/recommendations to senior management. Keep quality manuals, procedures, and work instructions up to date. Cross-Functional Collaboration Engage with various departments (Production, Engineering, Sales, R D) to align quality goals with broader organizational objectives. Support new product introductions or process changes by providing quality-focused insights.
Qualifications Education :
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Material Science, Chemistry, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience :
Minimum 3-5 years in a QC/QA role, preferably in textile, composite, or chemical manufacturing. At least 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
Technical Skills :
Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and root-cause analysis techniques (5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams, etc.). Competency in statistical analysis and quality data interpretation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for reporting.
Soft Skills :
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for managing teams and collaborating across departments. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Detail-oriented with solid organizational and time-management skills. Preferred Attributes Experience with composite materials or textile manufacturing processes.
