JobDetails The QC/QA Manager oversees all quality-related functions inour glass fiber textile manufacturing facility. Leading a smallteam of 2-3 quality assistants or technicians, this individualensures consistent quality checks from incoming materials throughfinal product release. This role requires not just maintainingquality records but taking ownership of root-cause analysis,corrective actions, and implementing systematic improvements. TheQC/QA Manager will also serve as the primary contact for in-housenon-conformance issues and customer quality claims. KeyResponsibilities Manage and mentor a team of qualityassistants/technicians. Delegate tasks effectively, ensuring timelyinspections, lab testing, and proper documentation. Provide ongoingtraining to maintain and elevate quality standards. QualityAssurance Develop and refine QA/QC processes to meet or exceedindustry standards and customer requirements. Oversee incominggoods inspection and chemical lab testing to confirm raw materialscomply with specifications. Conduct regular audits along theproduction line to verify adherence to established qualityprotocols. Investigate and manage internal non-conformances,ensuring prompt resolution and preventive measures. Serve as thepoint person for customer quality complaints, coordinatingcross-functional teams to execute root-cause investigations andcorrective actions. Maintain clear and proactive communication withcustomers regarding quality concerns and solutions. ContinuousImprovement Transition quality operations from reactiveissue-tracking to a proactive, data-driven approach centered onroot-cause analysis. Collaborate with Production, R D, andEngineering teams to identify opportunities for processoptimizations and long-term solutions. Lead or support improvementprojects aimed at enhancing production efficiency and reducingquality defects. Ensure accurate recording of inspection results,test data, and corrective action plans. Analyze quality metrics,compile comprehensive reports, and present findings/recommendationsto senior management. Keep quality manuals, procedures, and workinstructions up to date. Engage with various departments(Production, Engineering, Sales, R D) to align quality goalswith broader organizational objectives. Support new productintroductions or process changes by providing quality-focusedinsights.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree inEngineering, Material Science, Chemistry, or a related field (orequivalent experience). Minimum 3-5 years in a QC/QA role,preferably in textile, composite, or chemical manufacturing. Atleast 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
TechnicalSkills:
Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO9001) and root-cause analysis techniques (5 Whys, Fishbonediagrams, etc.). Competency in statistical analysis and qualitydata interpretation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel,Word, PowerPoint) for reporting. Certification in Six Sigma, LeanManufacturing, or other quality systems.
