Full-Time Power House Resources has been retained by a premier mold manufacturing company to identify a dynamic and experienced Quality Manager to lead the quality function at a high-precision tire mold facility. This is a leadership-level role, ideal for someone with strong expertise in quality systems, 5-axis CNC machining, and process improvement within a regulated manufacturing environment. Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Leadership & Team Development Lead and mentor a quality team consisting of a Quality Engineer, Quality Technician, and two Quality Inspectors. Foster a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement across the organization. Serve as the voice of quality across departments, ensuring alignment and engagement at all levels. Quality Systems & Compliance Maintain and continuously improve the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001 and

ISO 45001

standards. Lead internal, customer, and third-party audits; ensure audit readiness at all times. Ensure compliance with all customer-specific requirements, industry regulations, and quality standards. Product & Process Oversight Oversee inspection, validation, and approval of tire molds produced via 5-axis CNC machining. Review and manage quality documentation including control plans, PPAP submissions, and inspection reports. Monitor key quality metrics (e.g., scrap, rework, customer complaints) and lead the team in driving corrective actions and performance improvements. Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement Lead MRB (Material Review Board) activities and disposition of non-conforming materials. Conduct and facilitate root cause analysis and CAPA processes using 8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone, and other structured tools. Partner with Programming and Production teams to improve process capability, reduce variation, and increase throughput. Documentation & Reporting Ensure accurate and complete records of inspections, non-conformances, calibration, and training. Generate and present monthly quality performance reports to senior leadership. Customer Engagement & Responsiveness Act as the primary point of contact for customer audits, feedback, and concerns. Monitor and improve response time and resolution quality for all customer-facing quality issues. Ensure product quality consistently meets or exceeds customer expectations. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field). Minimum 5 years of quality management experience in a high-precision manufacturing environment. Strong working knowledge of 5-axis CNC machining and mold manufacturing. Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a quality team. Deep understanding of ISO 9001 and

ISO 45001

standards. Proficient in

GD&T, CMM

inspection, and metrology tools. Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills. Preferred Skills Experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Siemens NX, Mastercam). Six Sigma Green Belt or higher; experience applying tools such as

DMAIC, FMEA, SPC, SIPOC.

Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, MSA, and control charting. Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
