Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Quality Manager to join our team. This role is with a stable and growing company that has been making products for the military for over 70 years. They are investing in equipment. As a Quality Manager , you will oversee and manage our products’ quality assurance processes, ensuring compliance with military standards and regulatory requirements. You will lead a team of lab technicians and quality professionals and work closely with cross-functional departments to maintain and improve product quality. This is a critical role in ensuring that we continue to meet the stringent demands of the military and defense industry.

Key Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance & Control :

Oversee and manage the quality assurance processes to ensure that all products meet or exceed military specifications, regulatory standards (MIL-STD, ISO), and customer expectations.

Continuous Improvement :

Lead continuous improvement initiatives, such as Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing, to enhance product quality, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.

Documentation & Reporting :

Ensure the proper maintenance of quality-related documentation, including inspection reports, audits, certifications, and quality records. Report regularly to senior management on quality metrics and improvement plans.

Team Leadership :

Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of quality inspectors, engineers, and other quality assurance professionals. Promote a culture of quality across the organization.

Supplier Quality Management :

Work with suppliers to ensure they meet quality standards and resolve any quality issues. Monitor and evaluate supplier performance.

Internal & External Audits :

Conduct internal audits, prepare for external audits, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Prepare and maintain audit documentation.

Root Cause Analysis & Corrective Actions :

Conduct root cause analysis for any quality issues or failures, implement corrective actions, and track the effectiveness of solutions.

Compliance & Regulatory Adherence :

Ensure all processes and products comply with relevant military and defense industry standards

Requirements:

Must have quality management experience with textiles, preferably yarn manufacturing-lab and testing experience needed. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Six Sigma Certification is a plus
