Job Description

Quality Manager Cardinal Metalworks 1090 E Wilmington Street Ext, Burgaw, NC 28425 Job Summary We are currently seeking a Quality Manager that is responsible for the overall development and administration of Quality resources within the plant.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Achieves quality assurance operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews; prepares and completes action plans; implements production, productivity, quality, and customer; identifies and resolves problems; PPAP; completes audits; determining system improvements; implements change.
  • Ensure that the organization’s Quality Management System conforms to customer, internal, ISO 9001, and regulatory/legal requirements.
  • Meets quality assurance financial objectives by estimating requirements; prepares an annual budget; schedules expenditures; analyzes variances; initiates corrective actions.
  • Develops quality assurance plans by conducting hazard analyses; identifies critical control points and preventive measures; establishes critical limits, monitoring procedures, corrective actions, and verification procedures; monitors inventories.
  • Validates quality processes by establishing product specifications and quality attributes; measures production; documents evidence; determines operational and performance qualification; writes and updates quality assurance and employee procedures.
  • Maintains and improves product quality by completing product, company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits; investigates customer complaints; collaborates with other members of management to develop new product and engineering designs, and manufacturing and training methods.
  • Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, stability studies, recalls, corrective actions, and re-validations.
  • Updates job knowledge by studying trends in and developments in quality management; participates in educational opportunities; reads professional publications; maintains personal networks; participates in professional organizations.
  • Enhances departmental and organizational reputation by accepting ownership of accomplishing new and different requests; explores opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Monitors product quality; reporting quality deficiencies and communications with production personnel, management and engineering department.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • 3 years’ experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control.
ISO 9000.
  • Six Sigma.
  • Ability to lead teams and manage projects.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Identify Problem areas and Problem Solving.
  • Attention to detail and dealing with complexity.
  • PPAP Experience.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Self- Motivated.
