QA/QC Manager Job Description QA/QC Manager – Ensuring Precision & Compliance in Mechanical Construction Are you a seasoned professional with a sharp eye for quality and a deep understanding of mechanical systems? As a Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Manager for a mechanical subcontractor, you’ll be a key player in ensuring that all installations meet strict industry standards. This role is essential in maintaining compliance with project contract drawings, specifications, manufacturer guidelines, and superior craftsmanship throughout every phase of construction. Your Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive inspections and testing of mechanical systems to verify compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements. Maintain detailed records of inspections, tests, and QA/QC activities to support auditing and compliance efforts. Oversee and enforce adherence to industry standards, contract specifications, and safety protocols on all mechanical work. Identify quality issues, defects, or installation errors and provide timely corrective actions to maintain project integrity. Work alongside project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure seamless execution of quality control procedures. Train and guide team members on best practices for installation, documentation, and quality control compliance. Act as the on-site visual weld inspector , ensuring all welding work meets industry standards and project specifications when applicable. Required Skills & Experience Certified Weld Inspector (CWI) certification with advanced welding proficiency. 10 years of experience in mechanical or plumbing installation, service, or commissioning. 5 years of QA/QC inspection experience in the construction field. Strong expertise in piping systems and quality inspection protocols to maintain structural integrity and performance. This role is a critical part of mechanical construction operations , ensuring that every system installed is built to perform efficiently, safely, and in compliance with project requirements.
