This role ensures the continuous improvement and integrity of the quality system, driving a culture of excellence and regulatory compliance across all departments. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Lead the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the AS9100 Quality Management System. Monitor and apply changes to industry standards, certifications, and customer-specific requirements. Conduct routine reviews of the QA system and recommend necessary updates. Oversee incoming and outgoing product/part inspections to ensure compliance with specifications. Manage the calibration program, ensuring all tools and instruments meet AS9100 or higher standards. Develop and maintain calibration and certification recall schedules. Train and retrain inspection personnel on current standards, procedures, and best practices. Stay informed about and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local quality-related regulations. Manage the Corrective Action/Preventive Action (CAR/PAR) program. Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders regarding quality matters. Support audits, both internal and external, including customer audits. Required Competencies Strong communication and organizational skills Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation Experience managing personnel and quality teams Knowledge of hazardous materials and safety regulations Advanced computer and reporting skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Sound judgment and decision-making capabilities Business and quality systems acumen Required Education and Experience Associate degree in a related science or business discipline Minimum 3-5 years of Quality Assurance experience in a manufacturing or aerospace environment Experience with supplier/customer relations, including contract review and negotiation Preferred Qualifications Proficiency with nationally recognized quality systems (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001, NADCAP) Business management training or experience Physical Demands This position requires the ability to: Stand, walk, talk, and hear frequently Use hands and arms to handle, reach, and manipulate objects Lift and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs) Work in varied environments, including shop floors and off-site locations Work Environment Office and manufacturing floor environments with exposure to temperature changes Occasional travel to vendor and customer sites (company vehicle or POV) Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in shop and field environments Additional Responsibilities Frequent travel for quality-related business matters Additional duties as assigned, subject to change based on company needs
