Quality Lead Slingshot Brokers, Inc 1615 West Garden Road, Vineland, NJ 08360 We are not looking for job seekers, we are seeking motivated talented professionals who are ready to take their career to the next level and want to be a part of something amazing. We are a new packer, cold storage, warehouse, and logistics facility for fresh produce in Vineland. We are seeking a hands-on supervisor to lead our Quality operations. The Quality Lead is responsible for overseeing the Quality operations, overseeing the QA team, ensuring efficient and effective operations while adhering to safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have no less than 3 years of fresh produce quality experience; citrus is highly preferable. You will be responsible for the following:
- Maintain a positive culture while promoting a team environment.
- Lead and motivate QA employees to ensure productivity and teamwork.
- Perform thorough quality process on all products received to ensure all quality and safety requirements are met.
- The Quality Lead is responsible for providing quality assurance coverage to product development, ensuring that all products meet the required quality standards before release.
Supervise and mentor QA team members, guiding them in testing procedures and quality standards. This includes conducting training sessions and fostering a positive team culture. The Quality Lead identifies defects in products, coordinates defect resolution, and ensures that all issues are tracked and resolved in a timely manner. Responsible for improving quality, productivity, and time-to-market by establishing processes, procedures, and standards. This may involve conducting system audits and implementing best practices. The role requires effective collaboration with other departments to ensure that quality standards are integrated throughout the product lifecycle. The Quality Lead maintains documentation related to quality processes and prepares reports on quality metrics and KPIs about product quality and improvement areas. Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualified candidates will possess the following: At minimum, 3 years of proven quality control experience with fresh produce, preferably with citrus Previous experience in quality assurance or quality control roles is essential, with a proven track record of leading teams and managing quality processes. No less than 1-year supervisory experience. The ability to analyze issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions is critical for maintaining high-quality standards. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
